WHO IS DOUG?

Doug Coore is an educator first. His resume spans from touring with Grammy nominated artists (Jamie Grace) to producing, recording, and engineering bands and solo artists of all genres in the Atlanta based Opinium Recording Studios. If you asked him, he would tell you his greatest accomplishments have been watching the students he teaches blossom into musicians and young men and women of respect and confidence. A  Georgia State School of Music alumni, Doug has over 20 years experience as a music educator & in the music industry. His teaching experience includes working as percussion instructor at Masters Christian Academy (K-12 private school (Decatur, Ga) & his most recent work as percussion history presenter and educator at the award winning: Courtney & Rowe Music Acedemy.

"Nothing is as rewarding as seeing the look in a parents eyes when they see their son or daughter playing their favorite song, or an amazing solo for the first time at a recital; that look that says i didn't even know my child could do that! It's a special moment for both the student, and the parents. It's building confidence in the student, and assurance in the parents that they made the right decision... I live for that moment!"
